The East Midlands Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (EMDASS) has been supporting local councils to work together to improve their co-production approaches.

Together we want to take the opportunity to work as a region, together with people with lived experience to make best use of the skills, expertise and resources we have.

What have we done so far?

So far, a small group of co-production leads from across the councils have worked together to understand where each local authority is at and what their ambitions are.

Now, we want to bring together all the staff along with people with lived experience from each area to meet, explore and plan:

  • Our shared vision for co-production
  • What our priorities are
  • What actions we can take
  • Develop our plan for 2024/25.

Why?

We want to bring together our collective expertise to help understand what we achieve together to build co-production into our ways of working.

Who?

We are inviting you to join us for one of the workshops as someone who:

  • Has experience of being part of engagement / co-production activities with one or more of the partners, now or in the past.
  • Knows what it means to be involved with improving services, or at least trying to get involved.
  • Has had good… and maybe not so good experiences of being involved.

At the workshop, you will be working with a mixture of staff from the membership organisations and other people with lived experience from across the region.

The workshops will be facilitated by Vicky Thomson, Chief Every-One (www.every-one.org.uk).
