On 18th June, the amazing people at Rok-Ard Kickboxing in Hilcote took part in a 12-hour sponsored kick-a-thon. They reached an amazing total of 60,291 kicks in the 12 hours and raised an amazing £1000 for the Young Carers Service. Incredible!

We were overjoyed when Georgina from Rok-Ard got in touch with us to tell us they’d selected us as their chosen charity. We sent across some leaflets and information so that she could share what we do with their supporters and to help promote the event.

That £1000 will help us to pay for days out for our young carers this summer holidays. For example, £7 pays for a young carer to take part in a climbing session, £30 for 6 young carers to go bowling, £100 for a room hire for a day of games. We also send well-being books and craft kits out to young carers to keep them busy. All contributions are very welcome.

We’d like to give a huge thanks and an enormous congratulations to the team at Rok-Ard.
