Volunteering for almost three years has significantly supported my development throughout university.

I initially began the role as part of a placement, but chose to continue beyond this due to how rewarding and valuable I found the experience.

It has strengthened my communication, empathy, and active listening skills, while also teaching me how to remain patient, supportive, and professional when speaking with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Balancing this ongoing commitment alongside my studies has improved my time management, resilience, and ability to handle responsibility effectively.

Overall, it has also boosted my confidence in interpersonal interactions, which has been beneficial in both academic and wider professional contexts.
