Thursday 4th June 2026 @ 10am - 11.30am

Pre-Carers Week Canalside Walk @ Mercia Marina 

Starting point: Fish Statue, Merica Marina Car park, Findern Lane, DE65 6DW

Join us for a chance to chat to other Carers and take in the picturesque scenery and local wildlife on a steady three mile walk along the canal. Please note, the walk route includes steps.

MacMillan Carers Event 

Venue - Chesterfield MacMillan Cancer Support Centre, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Calow, Chesterfield, S44 5BL

Are you an adult who supports someone over 18 diagnosed with cancer?

The Chesterfield MacMillan Cancer Support Centre at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital are hosting an information and support event for you.

At this event you will be able to access support and information from lots of different charities and organisations there to support you.

Refreshments provided. Free raffle.

Walk and Flower Pressing @ Doe Lea Resource Centre.

Meeting place: Doe Lea Resource Centre, Mansfield Rd., Chesterfield, S44 5PD.

Coffee and cake available. Less mobile Carers willl be able to do the flower pressing only. In partnership with Nature Connections.

Bookable -  max 15 carers.

Join Pam, our Carer Support Worker, and Nature Connections for a walk around the beautiful Doe Lea Centre and try your hand at flower pressing. Those who would feel more comfortable, are welcome to take part in the flower pressing only.

Join us for a gentle, guided walk starting at The Visitor centre entrance at Carsington Water, with an opportunity for ☕ coffee afterwards.

(Please bring along a small amount of money if you’d like to join for coffee.). It’s a great opportunity to relax, connect with others, and enjoy some fresh air.

Please wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.

The ABC Support Group is there for people affected by cancer.

This session will provide you with information about Derbyshire Carer Association and the support that is available to you as a Carer.

It’s a chance to unwind, connect, and celebrate the incredible work Carers do every day.
