Carers Rights and Welfare Session at the MacMillan Unit (Chesterfield Royal Hospital) on Wednesday 14th May 2025

Members of staff from Derbyshire All Age Carers Support Service attended the regular Carers Session at the MacMillan Unit (Chesterfield Royal Hospital) to help carers understand better their rights as Carers and find out more about Energy advice and Money Matters support which is available to all carers within Derbyshire.

This session formed part of the support being offered by the H-Connect Project to the MacMillan Unit, with the MacMillan Unit being one of the first pilot sites to receive this tailored approach in-order to improve Carer self-identification and their knowledge linked to what support is available to them in their Caring journey.

The next Carers Event happening at the MacMillan Unit (Chesterfield Royal Hospital) is during Carers Week on Monday 9th June from 10am-1pm, where there will be a variety of charities and organisations there to offer advice and support.
